Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Feb 27, 2024

Dear Friends and Family,

We are Paul Moeck and Cristian Villarreal two students from San Joauquin MemorialWe are thrilled to announce our participation in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year program. Continuing the legacy of the Panthers Cure Cancer team, we have accepted the nomination, joining a group of exceptional students from across the Central Valley. This seven-week philanthropic competition, commencing on February 29, 2024, and concluding on April 19, 2024, aims to make a lasting impact on the fight against cancer.

We are super proud to represent Team Panthers Cure Cancer which was established last year by San Joaquin Memorial students Andrew Bryan and Nic Hambleck.  Cancer is a devastating disease that has touched the lives of millions worldwide, leaving a profound impact on us all. With 18 million new cases each year, the toll extends beyond the victims to their families, both emotionally and financially.

Each year there is a former leukemia patient that is honored as the LLS honorary of the year.  We are pleased to support the LLS and raise money to help others throughout America that have been diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma.

Your unwavering support can make a significant difference, providing love and aid to families grappling with the challenges of cancer. Alongside your support, organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) play a crucial role in assisting families directly, especially when insurance falls short. They connect families with essential services such as rides to treatment, counseling, and other vital resources.

Having witnessed our close family members face the challenges of cancer firsthand, we are inspired to contribute towards finding a cure. Cancer takes an unimaginable toll—physically, emotionally, and financially—impacting one in every three people today. Fortunately, families like Rebekah’s, who is our honored hero and the reason why we are running our campaign, have experienced the love and support of friends like you, and organizations like LLS continue to support countless others.

As we embark on this journey, we reach out to our extended family and friends, seeking your support. Your contributions will not only aid our team but, more importantly, will help LLS fund groundbreaking research that promises to save lives for generations to come. We firmly believe in the power of teamwork to create a lasting impact, and we are grateful for your involvement.

To donate, please scan the QR code. Note that donations will be accepted starting from the campaign launch date on February 29, 2024.  Alternatively, checks payable to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society can be sent to 2466 W. Bedford Ave, Fresno, CA 93711. For checks, kindly include "Panthers Cure Cancer" in the memo section and ensure the check is dated within the campaign window (2/29/24 – 4/19/24).

Thank you for your anticipated support. We eagerly look forward to your contribution to our cause.

Sincerely, Paul Moeck and Cristian Villarreal
